Transport

Define distance ranges and fares, then assign routes when enrolling.

Who else: school_admin configures. Assignment often happens at enroll or on student edit.

Manage transports

Route: /portal/admin/transports

1. Admin Settings → Manage Transports.
2. Create ranges / stops (e.g. 0–5 km, 5–10 km).
3. Set fare per range (monthly or as your model requires).
4. Optional: vehicle / route labels if the screen supports them.
5. Save.

Assign on enroll

1. During student enroll, pick transport range when the child uses the bus.
2. Or edit student → transport → save.
3. Confirm transport charge appears on the fee profile / other fees as designed.

Collect

Transport dues follow the same fee collect path as tuition once charged.

Tips

• Keep range labels stable mid-session; changing fares mid-year needs clear parent communication.
• Transport manager role may exist in seeds without a dedicated web menu — admin still owns this screen.
