Route: /portal/messages

1. Open Messages.
2. Choose channel (SMS / in-app) as available.
3. Select audience: class, section, absentees, or custom.
4. Write the body. Keep SMS short; follow DLT / template rules for India SMS.
5. Send. Check delivery / failure logs if shown.

DLT / SMS compliance

1. Register templates with your SMS provider (DLT) before production sends.
2. Only use approved template IDs mapped in school SMS settings.
3. Never paste unregistered promotional text into transactional templates.

Announcements

Route: announcements in the sidebar

1. Open Announcements.
2. Create title + body; optional attach link.
3. Target whole school or classes.
4. Publish; parents/students see it on portal / APK.

Tips

• Fee reminders: prefer linking to My Fees rather than pasting amounts that go stale.
• After biometric absences, message only the absentee list.
