Sidebar by role — full menu map

Use this page when training staff: open left sidebar → click these labels. Routes are the web portal paths after login.

Note: Custom employees may see a subset of School Admin menus if School Admin assigned menu permissions. Action-only permissions (Edit student, Collect fee, Void, etc.) appear as buttons on lists, not as sidebar tabs.

School Admin (school_admin)

Principal (principal)

Same as School Admin except:

  • Students: only Students Lists + Class Std. Lists (no Add / photos / roll / Student Fees menu).
  • Employees: no Add Employee in sidebar.
  • No Account Section, No Approvals, No Plan & Billing.
  • Fee questions → hand to Accountant / School Admin.

Vice Principal (vice_principal)

Same as Principal, plus:

How to collect fees as Accountant

  1. Open Students → find the student → row action Pay fee / Collect (needs Collect permission), or
  2. Ask School Admin to grant Student Fees + Collect / Pay fee menus so /portal/fees appears, or
  3. From Due Fee Record, open the student and collect from their fee page.

You submit discounts/voids/IE; School Admin approves.

Class Teacher (class_teacher / teacher)
