Attendance

Mark daily attendance, review biometric feeds, and print ID cards as needed.

Who else: school_admin whole school; class_teacher for assigned classes.

Manual mark

Route: /portal/attendance (and class/date pickers under attendance)

1. Open Attendance.
2. Select date, class, and section.
3. Mark Present / Absent / Late / Leave per student.
4. Save. Correct mistakes the same day when possible.
5. Optional: filter absentees and notify parents via Messages.

Biometric / device reports

Routes under /portal/attendance/* as labeled (biometric, reports)

1. Open biometric / device attendance if devices are linked.
2. Reconcile unmatched punches with the manual register.
3. Use reports for monthly % and chronic absentees.

ID cards

1. From attendance or students tools, open ID cards if listed.
2. Ensure photos and school logo exist → Setup, Students.
3. Print or export for the selected class.

Daily habit

• Mark before first period or immediately after assembly.
• Spot-check one section against biometric when both are used.
